Woot : One Day, One Deal (SM)

Sometimes we at the Woot Offices get to test out the products we ship. Some products are more interesting than others, but when we saw the website for this 4-piece set of SafePan Eco-Nonstick Cookware, we were a little troubled. Apparently in Australia, where these things come from, they use them to cook babies.

Right? RIGHT?! Totally cooking babies down under! WTF?!

So we thought we had some sort of miracle cookware that would somehow heat food but not human flesh. Unfortunately, a pot of boiling water, a Vegas hotel hot plate, and a disfigured Woot Writer later, we?ve come to the conclusion that those guys are probably lying about being able to put a baby in a pot.

Well, we should clarify: you COULD actually, physically, put a baby in this cookware. But the baby is going to get cooked. And if there is any sort of afterlife at all you will probably be going to the spot where, like, Hitler is. So don?t do that.

It turns out they call themselves Safepan because they?re eco-friendly and don?t use chemicals like PFOA or PTFE. They use natural ceramics, or CERANSAFE, which is the most durable and high-performing ceramic eco-nonstick coating technology. They?ve got ergonomic handle designs, and they?re a lot lighter than cast iron (duh) or even stainless steel pans. They?re also dishwasher safe!

But for real. No babies.
