Well, it's been a while since I've posted here, but I've been busy in the back end stirring up some new features. I'd like to tell you about them now.
New Trackers
If you take a look under the "WootOff Tools" menu item, you will notice a few new menu items. We now have trackers available for each one of Woot's sites. The new sites being monitored are Shirt.Woot, Sellout.Woot and HappyHour. Each of these trackers uses smart technology to determine the optimum refresh rate so you never miss a product.
New Tracker Design
I've spent some time redesigning and testing a new tracking system. Included with the new trackers that I mentioned before is a completely redesigned tracker look. I hope this cleaner look will make it easier to follow what's going on.
New Email System
Along with the new trackers, I've added the ability for email notification for each site that's tracked. If you edit your profile (or when you register), you'll notice a pair of new checkboxes for each site. One will have the system send you a new email for every new item that's posted for that site that is not during a Woot-Off. The second will have the system send you a new email at the start of a Woot-Off on that site. If you have both checked, you will only get one email at the start of a Woot-Off. One thing to note, the "Email on BOC?" checkbox works across all of the sites. When a Bag Of Crap is detected on any one of Woot's sites, it will send an email to everyone with that box checked.

So it's been a while since the last update to the site. Due to the wootoff on kids.woot.com, we've gone ahead and added a set of woot trackers that work on kids.woot.com! Check them out!

If you've visited the site lately, you may have noticed some changes happening. As new features were added, it became increasingly more difficult to find the feature you were looking for. So I decided to revise the menu structure a bit. Now, there are a few main sections that I think are easier to navigate. All the wootoff tools and such can now be found under "Wootoff Tools" (such as Item lists, trackers, etc). All the Past Item Info (such as the Past 100 Items, Past Item Search, Woot Statistics, Woot's Blog (and archive)) can be found under "Past Item Info". The Wiki has been renamed to "All About Woot" (I had some complaints that people didn't know what a Wiki was...). Everything else stayed pretty much the same.
Another new feature added, is the "See what Woot's page looked like" feature. If you click on the item name in any of the past item lists (Past 100 Items, Wootoff Items, Past Item Search), it will take you to a page that shows you what woot MAY have looked like when the item was offered.

NOTE! All emails except the e-mail on a new wootoff have been disabled (only during the wootoff) due to load issues. Well, while recoding the entire woot item detection program, I have fine tuned some functionality, as well as adding one more main function. You can now sign up for automatic e-mails that will either e-mail you every item, or only at the begining of a wootoff!!!
To activate either option, register and login. Then, from the user menu, select "My-Profile". Then go to Edit->Update Your Profile. On the "Contact Info" tab, you will see three options towards the bottom. Set these options how you want them, and click update. That's it! To disable the e-mails, just uncheck both boxes.
